As expected, The Rock and John Cena defeated The Miz and R-Truth at Survivor Series 2011. What was more interesting than the main event was the reaction the crowd gave John Cena. While the Rock got one of the biggest pops, WWE's face John Cena drew quite a bit of heat. After the match, The Rock and John Cena exchanged words and went on to compete to find out who gets the biggest pop.
CM Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio to become the new WWE Champion. The Big Show won against Mark Henry after Henry delivered a low blow right in front of the referee.
The WWE cannot give happy endings for all the matches. Team Orton lost to Team Barrett. Hopefully, this marks the begining of a rivalry between Randy Orton and Wade Barrett.
John Cena was not the only John who failed to inspire the crowd. John Morrison too didn't get a good reaction from the live crowd. John Morrison lost to Dolph Ziggler in a US Title match, thanks to some distracion from Vickie Guerrero. After the match, Zack Ryder attacked the champion Dolph Ziggler.
In the Divas section, Beth Phoenix defeated Eve Torres in a lumberjill match to retain the Divas title.
