Edge returns to WWE Smackdown mainly to host his controversial Cutting Edge, this time having Mark Henry and Randy Orton as guests. In fact, Edge would be the one opening WWE Smackdown. Cody Rhodes would interrupt Edge for a small promo, which would be interrupted by Ted DiBiase. Edge also meets his friend Christain. They hug and make up. The WWE hasn't made it clear if Christain is turning face.
The last segment of WWE Smackdown has Cutting Edge. There is a lot of talk and at the end, Mark Henry attacks Randy Orton and leaves him lying in the ring. Will this be the fate of Randy Orton at WWE Night of Champions?
Another interesting highlight of WWE Smackdown is the return of the original Sin Cara. As mentioned earlier, the WWE Superstar playing Sin Cara is Hunico. Hunico is defeated by Daniel Bryan by disqualification. After the match, the original Sin Cara returns and has a staredown with Hunico.
