WWE played it safe at WWE Summerslam. There were a couple of encouraging returns, but the storyline didn't deliver any surprises. As mentioned in an earlier post, Alberto Del Rio cashed in the Money In The Bank contract and won. CM Punk won the match against John Cena. However, One of John Cena's foot was outside the ring. Triple H didn't notice that and declared CM Punk the winner.
As CM Punk was celebrating Kevin Nash comes out and attacks CM Punk. Alberto Del Rio takes advantage of the situation and cashes in his Money In The Bank contract successfully. It is rumoured that Kevin Nash will be Alberto Del Rio's bodyguard from now on.
Edge returned too, only to cut a promo. Christain introduced Edge saying that Edge will be the special enforcer for his match against RandyOrton. Edge sais that Christain is his best friend, but Christain has become a whining b**ch. Christain los the World title to Randy Orton.
Stephanie McMahon returned too. She was seen in the locker room talking, in different backstage segments, to Triple H, CM Punk, and John Cena. Stephanie wished CM Punk good luck and offered a handshake that CM Punk refused. Cm Punk also refused to shake hands with Triple H after the title match.
Jimmy Hart returned. He was seen talking to R-Truth offering to help R-Truth see the bigger picture. R-Truth not only declined the offer, but kept referring to Jimmy Hart as "Little Jimmy".
