Cm Punk's contract expires soon. Some say, the contract has already expired. Regardless, WWE had no plans of letting CM Punk stay in the company. However, after what happened the week before last, the WWE (read Vince McMahon) is reconsidering its decisions.
It is said that tomorrow Vince McMahon and CM Punk will sit down to negotiate a new contract. That is, if CM Punk agrees to stay. CM Punk gave the WWE a lot of attention and the ratings a big big push with his "controversial" speech on WWE Raw.
It probably is the speech that led Vince McMahon re-think. It is ironic that a storyline created for a Superstar's exit from the company is the one that shows his true potential. The WWE writers have a clear idea of what type of storyline CM Punk is suitable for.
