WWE Superstar CM Punk's friend and former colleague has thanked CM Punk for mentioning his name on WWE Raw. CM Punk, during his controversial speech on WWE Raw last week, said, "“Hey, Colt Cabana, how you doing?” A lot of WWE fans had no ide who Colt Cabana is. Worse, most of us do not know that Colt has actually wrestled in the WWE - in a few squash matches.
The real name of 31-year old Colt Cabana is Scott Colton. Colt met CM Punk in 1999 while training for pro wrestling. Colt Cabana believes that CM Punk's speech was real and not scripted. He says what CM Punk said was something a lot of wrestlers inside the WWE and outside wanted to say, but never had the guts to.
Colt Cabana is a lot like Zack Ryder. They are not seen on TV a lot. But, they are extremely popular in the internet. In fact, Colt Cabana's page in the WWE Universe was a big hit. Colt thinks the WWE should also look at wha tis going on in the new media and give more opportunities to superstars who are popular in the new media.
What is beyond argument is that CM Punk's promo on WWE Raw is one of the best in WWE history. Some are calling it the best. CM Punk's promo shattered all rules on what should and what should not be said on a scripted wrestling TV show. CM Punk and his speech on WWE Raw last week will be remembered for a long time.
