The WWE has reportedly fired Finlay, a former WWE Superstar and a current WWE producer, over a controversy resulting from a certain aspect of a storyline in one of WWE's house shows. During the house show, as the national anthem was being sung, WWE Champion The Miz comes out to interrupt the anthem. The interruption of the national anthem didn't go well with the fans or the National Guards. The ire from the public forced WWE to fire Finlay.
Finlay was instrumental in training many young talents in the WWE. He is also responsible for the success of the WWE Divas's section. Finlay was also handling the storyline involving Snooki and Trish Stratus. As a WWE Superstar Finlay was part of some very interesting storylines. Some of the superstars he performed with include William Regal, Bobby Lashley Booker T, Hornswoggle, and Batista.
