When it was revealed that Triple H will face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27, there were widespread rumors that Triple H's career will be on the line against the Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania. Now, however, it looks like only the Undertaker's streak will be on the line. Putting Triple H's career on the line would be a repetetion of storylines as last year Shawn Michaels wrestled the Undertaker in a Career Vs Streat match.
Ending the Undertaker's streak doesn't seem to be an option, nor does ending Triple H's career. Also, these days storyline retirement doesn't seem to mean much - neither to the superstars nor to the fans. The WWE fans seem to be aware that the "retired" superstars will come back. Ric Flair, who was retired by Shawn Michaels, is currently wrestling for TNA.
There were also reports suggesting that Shawn Michaels will be the special guest referee in the match between Triple H and the Undertaker. It looks like that plan has also been dropped probably because there is already a special guest referee at Wrestlemania 27 - Stone Cold Steve Austin. However, it is the WWE; nobody knows what might happen next.
