Original Plan Was To Have A Mixed Tag Team Match For US Title At Wrestlemania

It has been learnt that the United States Championship was orginally planned to be defended at Wrestlemania 27 in a mixed tag team match. The actual plan was to have one of the Bella Twins join Sheamus and Gail Kim to join Daniel Bryan. It is not yet known why the plan to have a US Title match as a mixed tag team match was dropped; one of the reasons could be that there wasn't enough time to develop a storyline that culminates in this match-up. The inclusion of WWE Divas in the US Championship match at Wrestlemania would have given a big push to the Divas's section.
