World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has reportedly decided to bring back the King of the Ring tournament after a pause of about two years. The once-popular tournament will be resumed on the three-hour special episode of Monday Night Raw on November 29, 2010. The first King of the Ring in the WWE was none other than Bret Hart.WWE has used King of the Ring to promote WWE superstars to the top tier and to keep the storylines and plots dynamic. It has also been used to promote brands that would otherwise have received poor ratings. Major superstars like Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, William Regal, Booker T ( who renamed himself King Booker after winning the King of the Ring tournament) have been King of the Ring.
