Edge's retirement from professional wrestling has affected the WWE in unexpected ways. It has been learnt that the retirement of Edge has caused the WWE to change its WWE Draft plans. It is also learnt that the WWE Draft was advanced due to Edge's retirement although the WWE denies the reason for the Draft's advancement. Edge's retirement has made the WWE give more spotlight for Christain. WWE Smackdown is now in need of one more major superstar. So, the original plans to send Alberto Del Rio to WWE Raw seems to have been dropped.
